What we do

  1. Promote social integration
    Reducing Isolation

By providing hosted places of welcome in our neighbourhood weekly Hoxton Street Union brings people together from different backgrounds, ages, identities, surrounding them by trained volunteers that offer to everyone who passes by much more than a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or something to bite, but the most important: all their love, attention and care.
As a result, every session builds a stronger intercultural, interracial, interethnic, and intergenerational unity in our Community fighting social isolation and loneliness.

2. increase the effectiveness of local charities and community groups

Being on the field, Hoxton Street Union helps to refer people to public social services that can care for people’s needs in Hoxton acting like a bridge between institutions and the community.
Local Charities and Community groups have been also refering Hoxton Street Union when they identify people they work in need of friendship, fraternity and fellowship.

3. To resource local businesses
to support local people

Hoxton Street local businesses are part of our community daily life, they understand the community's needs and help us to connect individuals to other services.
By partnering and choosing local businesses and trusts to run our sessions, we create a friendly and welcoming environment while strengthening community ties and supporting local enterprises.

Hoxton Street Union is about connecting people in this amazing neighbourhood.

if you live, work or spend time in the Hoxton street area then we’d love you to consider getting involved.

How to get involved?

If you work in charity or lead community group near by…

We would love for you to visit us, know the project and the people, and tell us what social needs your charity responds to the local community. We would be happy to refer our users to the groups you lead or charity projects you run that meet their needs. You are also welcome to refer people you are working that identify a need of friendship, support and local integration to Hoxton Street Union community project.

If you work or run a local business…

We are always looking to expand the number of session we run and reach different people and groups in Hoxton neighbourhood, if you think your space would be able to welcome a weekly session please contact us using the form below.
If you would like to help but believe your space can’t hold a weekly session, you can just have Hoxton Street Union information in your store with the date, time and location of the sessions in your business and be able to tell them about us. We are happy to supply this material.
Another way to get involved is to refer people who are new in the area, might need to be integrated in the local community or are going to a period on their lives who need a special support or for different reasons might feel alone and need of friendship, to us. In any case fill the form bellow and get in touch.

If you are a local…

Please considerer joining us for a cup of tea and coffee in one of our sessions. If you have some spare time during the week consider volunteering hearing and sharing a cup of tea with our users in one of our weekly sessions.
A more simple way to volunteer is to bake a cake or some biscuits for us to share it with our community during Hoxton Street Union.

fill out the form below and we’ll get right back to you

Compromise with Ecological Integrity

Running our sessions, we are committed to protect and restore the integrity of Earth's ecological systems, with special concern for biological diversity and the natural processes that sustain life based on our Christian roots, but also to a general compromise to all people of the Earth across our neighbourhood that our consumption choices might affect.
